Prague locals are divided into two groups. One loves the věneček and the other loves the větrník (both are choux pastries filled with cream). Prague’s finest pastry chefs will help you decide whether you belong to one group or the other. Pastry chef Skála’s favourite is the potato (a chocolate and marzipan pastry), but his fantastic větrník is rivalled by his věneček  in several variations: vanilla with strawberries, salted caramel, chocolate cream or hazelnut. The větrník at the Myšák pastry shop is a Prague legend, as is the building of the Art Deco pastry shop designed by Josef Gočár. The cultural centre in the Werich Villa at the edge of Kampa Park is home to Iveta Fabešová, a master in French haute patisserie. Not to worry, they have the větrník too. Even though she prefers the věneček.
